Geisha Bookmark - April Crafttelly.com Swap

Vince got me a lovely Japanese kit to make these little Geishas from lovely handmade Japanese papers, you start with a tiny round chipboard (face) a stick three sheets of paper then it's all folding and glueing from there on - thankfully the instructions were very clear. I really enjoyed making this bookmark for the monthly challenge on the Crafttelly.com Forum.

Birthday Cakes Card - Just a bit of doodling !

This birthday cakes paper that I found in a craft magazine was bugging me...LOL I wanted to make a card but didn't know what. I was going through some brads from Hot Off the Press and came across the present brad buddy one. I've also used the HOTP template for faux stitching. I thought it would be ok to use with that paper and doing some massive doodling. It's not one of my best cards but I had fun making that card....At the end of the day that's what counts: enjoying our card making projects although not perfect ! ( Some découpage is there but can't be seen from the scan - hint the three cakes top right hand corner )

Venetian Style Pocket Card - Dawn's Tutorial

The lovely Jan from the Crafty Cards Creator Group gave us a challenge for April, it's a pocket card she found on Dawn's blog (Full video Tutorial). Papers are 7 Gypsies and Hot Off the Press (HOTP), stamps are from the QVC Avec Italian Venetian Kit. Ribbon is from American Crafts.
I've noticed that Card Craft Plus do the elements of that kit separately - A Taste of Italy.

Green Elephant at the Circus FLAP - 4X4 Friday Challenge

I came across this challenge at 4X4 Friday, I knew I had to do it. I saw a tutorial thanks to another blogger (Thank you Juliet ! )on Daring Cardmakers about doodling. I thought about some papers I had then remembered the DCWV Nana's Kids pad. I have also the chipboards from that kit and the elephant was just the right choice. All the papers are from that pad. I've doodled all the circles and cut the drum from one vase template. Used sakura black pen to write circus.

Russian Style Folk Art Dogs ATCs - I can't stop making ATC help ! 8-)

I'm making some ATC for the swaps I'm hosting on the Crafty Card Creators Group (run by my friends: Rita and her daughter Christina). If you like swapping cards or ATC please join our group we like having new people over !

I've used some Hot Off the Press (HOTP) leftover papers, Brenda Pinnick Ribbons (Scrapbook kit and Christmas Ribbon pack) and finally The Angel Company (TAC) Retro Rover Stamps (the doggies). Aren't they cute ? They remind me of Russian Folk Art drawings I saw in some children illustrated books years back. I've also used two other TAC sets: swirly one and mini occasions. I've used Derwent inktense watercolours which I blended with a Tombow blending marker. Well I don't know how long I'm going to keep up making Artist Trading Cards but hey, I'm enjoying myself !

Oriental Bliss ATCs - It's a phase I'm going through ! LOL

I'm going through a phase of making ATC just bear with me and I'll snap back to cardmaking pretty soon ! LOL

I've used two sets of stamps: The Art - The Angel Company (TAC) and Stamp N Stor (Dee Gruening) various Oriental stamps I got from QVC UK on clearance. Ink is Colorbox Petal Points fluid Chalks; papers are from HOTP leftovers (Hot Off The Press). I've used also a very light pink lacquer from Creative Impressions.

Bling ! ATC

I'm going nuts with that stamp ! I can't leave it alone ! LOL

I've used American Crafts papers and Heidi Swapp bling (in the middle) added AVEC faux gems (black hearts and diamonds). I'm having so much fun with these stamps, I'm going to have a try with some cards later on. So here's another ATC.

'Sweet' ATC - Leonie Pujol Fab Friday Challenge #3

I know I haven't posted for a few days and that's because I've been poorly with antibiotics.......awwwwwww ! LOL

I made this ATC today and thought it would match Leonie's Fab Friday Challenge #3 ( I know I'm late but she doesn't mind laggards ). I've use these newish round acrylic stamps from Inkadinkado and stamped on glitter cardstock added an acetate Sweet print on the back of it and a boutique American Craft ribbon. VoilĂ  !
Excuse the bit of fluff on the 'T' but my scanner was a bit grubby ! LOL

Forever Card - Di Hickman Card Sketch April #1

I received this Multi Technique Floral kit today from QVC UK, it was a bargain as I bought it as a special price. One sheet of 12X12 is up in a frame as those flowers are so beautiful. You get so much in this kit. I decided to use for the latest Di Hickman Sketch April #1. I've use Hot Off the Press papers (HOTP Pastels) and some pearlescent blue paper that came with the kit, rub-ons are generic.

Paisley Best Wishes Card - Paula Pascual sentiments

I received the stamp I've ordered from my lovely Stampin' Up demo, Jodi, the other day. It's a huge and I mean huge paisley stamp. I remembered I have these lovely die-cuts sentiments created by Paula Pascual and thought they would match perfectly with the background ( I have a crap scanner so trust me..it matches, LOL ), I've also added some chocolate fabric flowers from Hot Off The Press (HOTP), the sheer ribbon (88584) is from American crafts. Edges are inked with petal points fluid chalks autumn pastels (Colorbox).

We woke up this morning to an unusual sight in London... SNOW ! And as I type this it's snowing again...Brenda is this because you've decided to come to London ??? LOLOLOL

Gecko Cloisonne Card - Di Hickman Card Sketch Challenge March #4

I'm so late for this sketch from Di's Blog - Card Sketch March #4. I was using some Hot Off The Press (HOTP) papers from the Ultimate Cardmaker's set to match some Heidi Swap bling I got today in the mail from Kelly - Keep in Touch (thank you Kelly!!!)...then I realise I could use the same papers to make something for Di's Sketch. Both cards I've used Michael Strong Cloisonne stamps...they are gorgeous ! I've used a generic faux gems and the chipboard buckle is from Topline Creations (TLC).
And here's the card I made before the sketch one and lead to it...
