Elegant Lady card - Kanban retro ladies

Another card from Vince and he's been using Kanban retro ladies kit (well I think it's called like that), you can purchase the kit either from QVC UK or single sheets from foilplay.co.uk . The ribbon is actually a christmas one from Brenda Pinnick kit of ribbons (that was a right bargain at little over at tenner for so many ribbons).

A lovely elegant card !

Fairy Card - Dovecraft and Nancy Watts papers

A stunner of a card here if I may say so combining Dovecraft background paper and Nancy Watts lovely fairies that were given out free in one of the Making Cards (one of the best kept secret with all the monthly free papers) recently. Love the green bling and the Sakura stardust work on the plants and fairy.

I had to show you this card that Vince made me, he's on a roll with the paper tearing technique. Love how he used various papers and yet they work well together. That bunny is so amusing and 'hoppy' ...Thank you Baby, I love it ! You can see the other card Vince made using paper tearing on my oriental card making blog: Panda and Bamboo card.

Strawberry Basket - HOTP Template

I know I know, I'm very bad ! But I couldn't help it, I've joined the Template HOTP Personal shopper. I thought why not since the pound is getting stronger and it's delivered every other month. This month the template allows you to make this lovely basket ! I've used the papers that came with the kit and the brads too. We also received as a thank you gift another mini template to make envelopes.

You all know I'm template mad so this kit was right up my street. I can see myself making a few for Xmas and Easter next year !

Little goggly eye dog - Leftover scraps from Anniversary card

While I was cutting out the polka dots paper for the anniversary card, I started to notice some patterns in the leftovers and especially one patterned started to look like a dog's body. So I trimmed it, added some bits and created this cute little card. Papers all Hot O ff thePress: Classic pads and Stripe & Dots 12X12 pad. Notice the cute Kanban pearl gem for the nose and goggly eye from stash.

Anniversary card for a friend - Flower Giant Template HOTP

In the Paperwishes message board (HOTP) we were mentioning on how those templates are fun to use but kinda difficult for the recipient to figure out how to open them. So I thought for a moment why not gluing the petals and separate the back using the same pentagonal shape to cover the back and the inside. That's what I did and it's a good result as it allows the card to stand too.

I also managed to make another card with the leftovers from cutting into the traced outline from the template. Papers are Use them for anything Spots and Stripes (HOTP). Kanban gems and pearls which I always purchase from www.foilplay.co.uk as one can pick and choose singly which pack one wants. Swirl are drawn from template but I've redrawn them with a black sakura pen.

Kitschy Digitals -Another review for Craft Critique

Wow I'm already on my second review with Craft Critique and I'm pleased to say that I thoroughly enjoyed creating these cards. If you follow me on twitter you've heard that two other cards went into the bin as they got damaged a by a strip of glue I foolishly left lying around. Anyway it made work harder although I cut my deadline pretty close (sorry Melissa). Anyhoo I hope you'll have a look at my review regarding Kitschy Digitals on Craft Critique (you need to scroll down the page a bit) .

Glittered the cameo and used some monochrome papers.

Used an old paper kit from TLC (now Breezy Designs), only used the inner cameo in the oval.

Another mottled paper from Brenda Pinnick Designs, stamped the paisley and greeting with SU stamps, ribbons Taffeta SU again. Lovely Frame from the Kitschy digitals kit as well as the Cameo

Funky layout with my niece perusing a pond ! Woodland Die-Cuts from Kitschy Digitals

Mini Album for my sister's 40th - Brenda Pinnick Acetate & Chipboard Mini Album Kit

Wow it was so much fun using this Brenda Pinnick Acetate & Chipboard Mini Album Kit from QVC UK.

I thought I would give my sister this little present as it's made by me. I called it in Italian 'Fratelli' which means brothers and sisters but also means 'Siblings'.

My sister brought back from Italy when returning on her last trip some pictures that my late granny kept so I decided to use them. You can see they were taken in Quebec when we use to live there. I also enclosed a couple of pictures when were in our thirties (sigh ! it goes so quickly) and we had a citybreak in Amsterdam.

There's a two fave of mine of my sister when she's holding our late family pet 'Benji' and when she ventured on her ow in London in the 80s ( she came over here first then decided to go and live in Canada).

Anyhoo, she doesn't follow my blog, hopefully, so this is going to be a surprise for her on her birthday. I've also made her an Oriental birthday card you can see on my other blog.
